Intersectional Masculinity

This was a project a did 2019. I wanted to highlight and bring attention to how masculinity is perceived. So i decided to interview 3 different creators that had a correlation to masculinity. I wanted to see how they perceived it and how it has affect their life. However only two made the spot. The people i interviewed were Frank Adam. A performer, fashion designer and creator. And Yemi, a music artist.

How does one define the word Masculinity? Is it being Tough? Muscular? Brave? Maybe even violent? Less feminine? These are the associations which come up in my head when I think of the word masculinity. A social construct upheld to confirm, to the norm, of the ideal man. However, does masculinity really have to be defined as this?

Intersectional Masculinity is a Magazine created by Kevin Nyeko highlighting different people’s experience with Masculinity and how it has affected their life. In this Magazine one will get different perspectives of how people view masculinity and how they think it affects them and their thoughts about it.
